Just a quick update on our Haiti trip:
We arrived in Haiti last Sunday evening, then monday we worked at the feeding program site bagging food for the recipients. Tuesday we went to an orphanage gave out some toys and fed about 300 children lunch.
Then everything changed as the election results came in and some were not happy and started to have demonstrations,tire burning,blockading streets and so on. Wednesday we were confined to the guesthouse and also thursday. Friday we ventured out and their were very few people out and even fewer cars. We went by the many road blocks and the roads were blackened by burned out tires it was an eerie feeling to say the least.
We met with some more feeding program people on Friday, gave out water bottles with filters and got 2 ladies enough clothes to start their own business, then back to the guesthouse. Now all flights were canceled to and from Port Au Prince since Wednesday. We now had no way out of Haiti and not knowing when the flights would ever resume we took a bus Saturday morning 7 hrs to the Dominican Republic then went to the airport in Santa Domingo stayed overnight at the airport and flew home sunday morning.

yes this was a different kind of trip and GOD was so faithful to make a way out where their seemed to be know way out. Thanks for sharing the journey with us one day you will both go to Haiti to see first hand. to whom much has been given…much is required. larry

Thank you for being such an example of christ to us all Haitians. Thank you for getting out of any comfort zone just to go to the least of these, just as Lord Jesus would do. Keep rooting for Jesus, for He is your pioneer. Psalms 20 be your portion today, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Thanks J B for your always encouraging words, it is our extreme pleasure to reach out to the least of these and only pray we could do more. But I do believe that the SPIRIT OF GOD is moving on Americans with much resources to give up the extravagant, wasteful, and selfish lifestyles and give into the true kingdom of GOD for its advancement in all of the world. If JESUS is going into all the world to win the lost and save a dieing world it will only happen because SOMEBODY goes to be his hands and feet extended. Larry
